1. Who we are

VinoPeak ("we", "us") is operated by Remy Leroux, the data controller for personal data processed through the VinoPeak app and website (vinopeak.com). Contact: support@vinopeak.com.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: email address, name, login credentials, language preference.
  • Cellar content: bottles, photos, tasting notes, prices paid, and any data you choose to add.
  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser/device identifiers, pages visited, basic telemetry, error logs.
  • Support data: messages you send us and any attachments.
  • Payment data: handled by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); we receive only limited transaction metadata (subscription status, last 4 digits, country).

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Provide the service, sync your cellar, and run AI valuations — performance of contract.
  • Security, fraud prevention, abuse monitoring — legitimate interests.
  • Product analytics and improvement — legitimate interests.
  • Customer support — performance of contract.
  • Billing, tax, invoicing via Paddle — legal obligation and performance of contract.
  • Marketing emails (only if you opt in) — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share data with

  • Paddle.com Market Ltd — Merchant of Record for all sales, subscription management, payment processing, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Cloud and infrastructure providers — hosting, databases, file storage, email delivery.
  • AI providers — anonymized bottle metadata is sent to large language models to compute valuations and parse labels.
  • Professional advisers — accountants and legal counsel where strictly necessary.
  • Authorities — when required by law or to protect rights.

We never sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some processors are located outside the EEA/UK. Where applicable we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your data.

6. Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active and delete or anonymize it within 12 months of account closure, except where we must retain billing records for accounting or tax law (typically 6–10 years).

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. EU/UK users may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email support@vinopeak.com. We respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular backups.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies required to keep you signed in and protect the service, plus limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser.

10. Changes

We will update this notice when our practices change and indicate the new effective date at the top of the page.
