Why VinoPeak exists
VinoPeak started the day my kids were born.
I'm Rémy, a product manager, a father of two toddlers, and a Frenchman with a soft spot for wines that have been given time. When my children arrived, I wanted to set aside a few good bottles from their birth years, the kind of thing you open together on an eighteenth birthday.
It turned out to be harder than I thought. I didn't have a real place to keep wine safe for eighteen years, so I bought my first 30-bottle fridge. One bottle led to another, and quietly, a small cellar appeared.
Like most people, I looked for an app to keep track of it. I tried a lot of them. They were either built for professionals managing thousands of references, or stuffed with social features I had no use for. I wanted something simple, made for people who are starting to collect without wanting to turn it into a second job, and that does the essentials beautifully.
Around the same time, generative AI chat tools became part of my daily routine. I caught myself using them as a pocket sommelier, should I open this now? decant? what's missing from my cellar? The answers were good. Typing the bottle details in every time was not.
So I built the tool I wanted.
VinoPeak is what happens when you cross a product manager's obsession with simplicity, a parent's lack of free time, and a small collector's curiosity. One photo of a label gives you the producer, vintage, tasting window, serving temperature, and an honest market estimate. Ask the sommelier what to pour tonight. Move on with your evening.
My goal is straightforward: build something genuinely useful for first-time collectors and experienced ones alike, at a fair, affordable price. No social feed. No bloat. Just your cellar, ready when you are.
